Hello Recently I saw an interview with the CEO of the Cleveland Clinic. He said, "The current system of medicine dates from the 1950s and is obsolete; it must be replaced by an entirely new system."
He made some sensible suggestions, such as establishing central hospitals for specialties like cardiac and neurosurgeries, rather than having every hospital try to do everything.
He also emphasized the need to find a solution to "the epidemic of chronic* illness." The CDC estimates over 60% of the US population has one or more chronic health conditions. *CHRONIC means that the problem never goes away, or keeps coming back. This is thousands of conditions from diabetes and high blood pressure to depression, fatigue and hormone issues.
No one in conventional medicine has a clue how to do this. It's all futuristic pie in the sky, nothing concrete and right now.
WE are concrete and right now, so if we stand up and declare ourselves to be the master of this unsolvable problem, we can be the small seed that eventually changes health care. If we hold our position on this (that is, we continue to demonstrate that we can get results when most aren't even trying), we can become the most stable source of information regarding solutions to chronic illness.
